I love the feeling of my house being able to breathe again. Taking the mounds of Christmas decor down, and returning everything to it's rightful position is so liberating. I love to carefully package each ornament to ensure it survives the year in the garage. This year I am being even more detailed with my Christmas decor packaging. It was overwhelming to pull out the 8 bins of stuff and not be able to find the extension cord, or star amongst them all. So... I've put all the things that go in the same place in the same box. What a novel idea!?! I hope that makes next December a little less stressful for me. Here's how it looks:

When my husband came home last night he looked like he could almost cry. He said "I don't want Christmas to be over, bring back the tree." I laughed at him and opened the curtain and said "don't worry, it's still on the deck". How's that for taking down a tree!?! I didn't want to get all scratched up, so I left it in the stand. Now we have something to look at on the deck. It even has the ribbon tied to it that held it up for the last 2 weeks!!!
Have a great week.... stick to those resolutions!
Great idea for storing your decorations. Ours are in about 25,000 different boxes, some in the attic, some in the garage :) I need to be more organized like you! I saw that you've just started blogging - welcome to blogland! :) Happy New Year!
